TOWN OF BOW MAR, COLORADO
Incorporated as a town under the State of Colorado in 1958, Bow Mar is governed by an elected mayor and a six member Board of Trustees, with elections held every two years. Common areas including the beach are run by Bow Mar Owners, Inc. (BMOI). Access to the beach, lake, and tennis courts which is not mandatory is obtained by joining BMOI which involves a $5,000 initiation fee and yearly dues of approximately $850 per year for admittance and use of the following facilities:
• Bow Mar Beach - 115 acre lake with beach and picnic areas
• Marina - Area where rowboats, canoes, and fishing boats are stored
• Fishing - Pike, bass, and crappies can be caught either in a boat or off the dock.
• Sailing - Weekly regattas held in summer for a wide variety of sailing craft.
• Swimming - Lifeguards and beach manager on duty from Memorial Day to Labor Day. A twenty-five meter lap area, diving board, mini-trampoline, and slide in deeper area - roped off area for tots. Competitive children’s swim team.
• Picnic and Playground - Dine & watch sunsets in grassy area with pavilion and tables.
• Tennis - 8 Laykold courts for year-round play - 4 at Marston and 4 at beach. Tennis pro offers private and group lessons.
• Yearly events such as Beach Concerts • Summer Party • Winter Dance • New Year’s Eve Fireworks • Ice Skating Parties • 4th of July Celebrations • Pancake Breakfast • Father’s Day Brunch • Newcomer’s Picnic
• Beach Spring Cleanup Days, provide bonding experiences with your neighbors,and a $50 rebate on yearly dues! The Tennis Club and Yacht Club make sure tennis and sailing programs run smoothly.
